You don't need kids who are good at pictures. You don't need a family who loves having their photo taken. You just need to show up and I'll take it from there!
Hi! I'm Nicole, a mom of three and a family photographer on Florida's Gulf Coast. Before photography became my career, my background in family science and teaching taught me a lot about people. Raising three kids of my own has taught me even more!
I know what it looks like when a child is about three minutes away from being finished. I know when to stop asking and start playing. And I know how to redirect without turning your session into a standoff between you and your kids, so you can be in the photos with them instead of behind me begging them to smile.

You've already coordinated flights, the rental house, dinner reservations and approximately seventeen opinions about where everyone should eat. Your family photos shouldn't be one more thing to manage. We get the smiling photo for Grandma. Then we play. Sessions keep moving, kids get games instead of instructions, and nobody spends the evening saying "look at the camera."

They don't need to. I expect kids to act like kids. Instead of asking them to stand still and smile on command, I use movement, games and redirection to keep them engaged while I photograph them.

What happens if my kids don't cooperate?

Can you photograph a large extended family?
Yes, it's one of my favorite sessions. We'll get the whole group, each household, grandparents with grandchildren, the cousins and any other combinations you want. Families of 10 or more book Package 3, and each person beyond 10 is $25.

When should we take beach pictures?
I schedule beach sessions around the evening light, not one set time all year. Sunset shifts with the seasons, so once we choose your date and location, I'll tell you exactly when to meet me.

Where do you photograph?
Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island and Rothenbach Park, plus other spots around Sarasota. I'll help you choose based on where you're staying and the size of your group. There's a $75 travel fee for Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key.

My husband hates pictures. Is that a problem?
Not at all. He's in very good company. We'll get the traditional photos quickly, then move into relaxed moments that make even the people who dislike pictures forget we're taking them.

Will we get photos where everyone is looking at the camera?
Yes. You'll get those and the fun ones. Every gallery mixes classic portraits with candid moments, so you don't have to choose.

How much does a session cost?
Sessions start at $595 for 30 minutes and 10 edited images. A $200 retainer holds your date, and your gallery arrives within 3 to 4 weeks.

How far in advance should we book?
As soon as your travel dates are set. Spring break, summer and Thanksgiving weeks fill first.
You're already making the memories. The sunsets, the sandcastles, the cousins who won't stop laughing. This time, be in the photos instead of behind the phone taking them.
